Prof. Samsul Rizal, rector of Syiah Kuala University officially launched the 100 Million Bulb Program for ASEAN, at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, November 15, 2018.
The program is series of UNINET which aims to make certain access to affordable, sustainable, and modern energy for all and sets the agenda for sustainable energy consumption. The 100 Million LED Bulb Program is intended to compose a highly effective energy efficiency that combines technical innovation of LED lighting with the simplicity programs. The program also will involve around 50 universities and minimum number of 100 students as participants.
The launching was attended by Dato’ Dr. Dionysius Shankar Kumar Sharma, Executive Director of Green Growth Asia Foundation (GGAF), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Md. Nizam bin Abd. Rahman, Director of International Office of UTeM, lecturers and students from several universities from Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.
In addition, Prof. Samsul signed an official agreement or MoU covers academic cooperation between Syiah Kuala University and Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM).
